The Brothers & Co. at the Schuster Performing Arts Center Sunday Nov. 30 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 

 (NOVEMBER 2008) Dayton, Ohio – The Brothers & Co. Entertainers of Jamestown will present their unique blend of music and comedy in a holiday performance at the Schuster Center Performing Arts Center at W. Second and Main Streets in downtown Dayton. Dubbed "The Boys in Black" at the Paint Valley Jamboree music festival in Bainbridge, the group will take the atrium stage from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. on Sunday November 30 as the opening to the Wintergarden Wonderland series of weekly entertainment.

The Brothers & Co. Entertainers are a country-western styled family band and quartet that has been performing together for more than 12 years. The group features pianist, writer, and nationally-known whip artist, Gery L. Deer; singer, percussionist, and comedian Gary Deer, Jr.; guitarist and lyricist Ed Jones; and bass singing sensation and award-winning classical magician, James Karns. Their Vaudeville-style music and variety show includes specialty acts, music and comedy.

The group is presented by the Victoria Theater Association in conjunction with the Downtown Dayton Partnership, presents as part of the entertainment at "Wintergarden Wonderland." The event will consist of weekly holiday entertainment and family activities every Sunday through Christmas. In addition to live entertainment, attendees can also visit the restored orginal Rike's animated, holiday window displays. 

The Brothers & Co. are best known for presenting their own four-part spin on classic songs from such groups as The Statler Brothers, The Everly Brothers, John Denver, and many more. The hour-long Schuster performance will also include samplings of their stage variety performances including comedy, magic, and world-champion bullwhip artistry.

 This will be the second time The Brothers & Co. musicians have graced the stage of the Schuster, having opened the entertainment season at last year's Wintergarden Wonderland. “Our show is unique,” says group co-host Gery L. Deer. “We like to engage the audience and entertain them, and we offer a unique, family show.” The group will have CDs and autograph photos and other memorabilia available as well.

The Brothers & Co. Entertainers is a country-western style band and quartet based in Jamestown. The group features pianist and nationally-known whip artist Gery L. Deer; singer, percussionist, and comedian Gary Deer, Jr.; guitarist and lyricist Ed Jones; and bass singing sensation and award-winning magician James Karns. Their Vaudeville-style music and variety show includes specialty acts, music and comedy.

Every Saturday night since 1965, in the southern Ohio town of Bainbridge, the 100-year-old Paxton Theater comes alive with music and entertainment reminiscent of the Grand Ole Opry. Operated by veteran country entertainer Ralph Cooper, the Paint Valley Jamboree offers a variety of live music ranging from bluegrass to old time rock ‘n roll.

This will be the second time The Brothers & Co. musicians have graced the stage of the Paxton Theater, having performed to encore requests in January. “Our show is unique,” says manager Gery L. Deer. “We like to engage the audience and entertain them, not just stand there and sing.”

The Paxton Theater is located at 125 E. Main St. / State Route 50. The show begin at 7 PM and last until 10 PM with one intermission. GREENVILLE, OHIO - February 24, 2007 : "The Brothers & Co. Entertainers" will host the 2007 Annie Oakley Western Arts Showcase & Ohio WWAC Convention Awards Show on Saturday July 28, 2007 at 7PM at the Garst Museum & Annie Oakley Center in Greenville, Ohio.
